AWATERA SIGNED A LANDMARK COLLABORATION AGREEMENT WITH COSINES PI

On January 20–24, 2020, the Third Global Dialogue International Forum of Conference Interpreters was held in Moscow at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN).

The Forum was organized by the ANO DIALOGUES International Center for Educational Programs and Special Events together with the Strategic Marketing Agency and the B2B Perevod translation company. The Saint Petersburg School of Conference Interpreting & Translation (SCIT) acted as the Forum's general partner.

The Forum included a number of programs, such as an educational program featuring a series of hands-on advanced training workshops leading to a certificate of completion; a core business program; a special Asian Dialogue program on Asian languages, languages of Russia and the CIS countries; and the Inclusive Dialogue program on special forms of interpretation.

As part of the Global Dialogue International Forum of Conference Interpreters, AWATERA CEO Aleksey Shesterikov signed a landmark collaboration agreement with COSINES Pi. Together with researchers from the Russian Academy of Science and Moscow State University, COSINES Pi has developed a scoring system to assess the professional competence of consecutive and simultaneous interpreters and the quality of their services. It is worth mentioning that this is a groundbreaking concept since no interpreter evaluation system has ever been developed before. In addition, this system will be used commercially for the first time in partnership with AWATERA.

As a result, we are the first company to apply state-of-the-art scientifically-based evaluation and quality assurance systems in Russia. This will ensure that the quality of interpretation services is scientifically proven and satisfies all the requirements of our customers.
