AWATERA took part in the global LocWorld Conference held on November 6–8, 2019, in Silicon Valley, USA. LocWorld is a large-scale event for the language and localization industry, bringing together the industry leaders and representatives of the largest international companies. This year, the conference featured Microsoft, Paypal, Blizzard, NetApp, GetYourGuide, Booking.com, and many other companies.
The attendants were given a unique chance to get acquainted with the latest trends and new technologies as well as join an effective networking. LocWorld41 Silicon Valley focused on globalization, with the organizers selecting Go Global, Be Global as its theme.
The conference proved to be particularly relevant to our company. AWATERA helps customers promote brands internationally and facilitates entering the global market. We are also stepping up our presence, opening new branches across the world every year.
Conference attendants discussed the following issues:
1. How to adjust your product to a new market?
2. How to calculate ROI when entering a new market?
3. Which markets are the most promising to promote your company?
Yuliya Bitineva, head of the USA sales team at AWATERA, who participated in the conference as a representative of the company, shared her thoughts, "I liked the Bigger, Better, Faster session the best since it dealt with the challenges that companies face when entering new markets. It is not always easy to streamline communication among international employees under the roof of one company since people perceive the same information differently, which can lead to misunderstandings. For this reason, the conference was particularly focused on increasing cultural intelligence."
As a reminder, LocWorld42, the next edition of the conference, will be held in Berlin on June 3–5, 2020.
